What is Downtown Disciple?
Downtown Disciple is a brand that was born out of a desire to create real, simple, down to earth, culturally relevant, God-glorifying, faith wear. After searching far and wide, I struggled with finding faith apparel that wasn’t corny, flowery, out of touch, borderline blasphemous, or a combination of all these things. So – with that in mind, the Lord put it on my heart to create this brand. As someone who didn’t grow up in the church, someone who has no personal social media, and someone who spent the majority of my life in “the culture” – I think I've been uniquely anointed with a fresh set of eyes to answer this need.
There are plenty of faith brands doing their own take on Christian apparel - and God bless them (literally). But with Downtown Disciple, I feel it’s time for a new and different approach to glorifying the same good God. Each of our creations are divinely inspired, uniquely appealing, and backed by scripture. Through a combination of divine favor and cultural flavor; this brand aims to reach people where they’re at - with the hope of capturing the attention of a lost generation.
In its current form, Downtown Disciple is a clothing and lifestyle brand. In its future iteration, Downtown Disciple intends on expanding into a service-based movement, with a focus on community restoration. With the continued support of our loving God and a growing Downtown Disciple community, I know all of these plans will come to pass.
